How does automatic tracking work?

Turn on automatic tracking and allow the required permissions. Keep LogMetric running in the background so it can detect trips.

Can I change a trip after classifying it?

Review its classification, notes, times and vehicle, then save your changes.

Can I share it with my accountant?

Export a PDF or CSV, then save or share it from your phone.

Where can I check tracking permissions?

Open LogMetric’s settings to review your tracking setup. You can also check the app’s location and motion permissions in your phone’s Settings. Review these if automatic tracking is missing journeys.

How do I get started?

Add your vehicle, review the tracking permissions and record your first trip. Check the trip afterwards, choose Business or Personal and add a note while the journey is still fresh.

How do I keep trips with the right vehicle?

Review your vehicles in LogMetric and check the vehicle selected for each trip. When you switch cars, check the next journey’s vehicle before preparing a report.

What should I write in a trip note?

Write a short reminder of why you travelled, such as ‘Client meeting at the West Perth office’ or ‘Collect materials from the supplier’. Add enough context to recognise the trip when you review your records later.

Business and personal trips in one day

Review each trip in your day and choose Business or Personal for that journey. Add a note where the purpose needs more context, and check your classifications before exporting your report.

Forgot to record a trip?

Check your trip list and selected date range first. If a journey is missing, use your own records to confirm its date, route and distance before adding a manual trip. Include a note so you can identify it during your next review.
